RITMO® is a technique for reprocessing psychic informations that allow us to quickly release emotional and traumatic blockages that affect us unconsciously.
It is a technique inspired by EMDR, created by Lili Ruggieri, who trained me, to adapt to hypnosis.
It has been shown that in REM sleep, we have phases where the eyes move very quickly behind the eyelids and it is a moment of integration of everything we have experienced during the day, learning, emotions, etc…
In the session, the aim is to re-create this movement, which will allow us to re-process the information of a traumatic event.
It is a solution-oriented, brief-therapy technique. It is not a psychoanalytical approach or a search for understanding. It is about allowing emotional release.
It is adapted to people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), victims of traumatic events such as accidents, aggressions, disasters that they regularly relive in the form of dreams and/or flashes.
They live in a permanent state of alert and depending on the scene they have experienced or only witnessed, PTSD can turn their lives into a real torment as well as for those around them.
This technique also helps to remove phobias, compulsive behaviours, fears, anxieties, lack of self-confidence and emotional blockages.
The information is reprocessed by means of bilateral sound, visual and kinaesthetic stimulations, the aim of which is to activate the areas of the brain concerned in order to allow the traumatic event to be « digested » by dissociating it from the emotion felt. This makes it possible to reactivate certain areas of the brain involved in the unconscious blockages.
This method allows the processing of information linked to the trauma to be recoded in order to modify the perception and the feeling in order to finally integrate and overcome it.
